Resident vs. Non-Resident Homeless

San Francisco city leaders are shocked. The city spends $190 million per year for programs to end homelessness but the homeless numbers keep going up. It's become obvious that new homeless people are showing up from other cities and states.

To solve the new sticky problem, city officials have developed a bold, new plan which appears to be contrary to San Francisco's sanctuary city reputation.

Homeless benefits will only be available to resident homeless people. Non-resident homeless people will be denied benefits until they meet the requirements for residency -- three weeks.

It's hard to dispute the contention that the new plan is nothing more than innovative wheel-spinning which does nothing to solve the homeless problem in San Francisco.
