Sun Times: Rahm Emanuel Had At Least 21 Taped Conversations w/ Blago...Pushed for Jarret for Senate Seat
Chicago Sun Times today:
President-elect Barack Obama's incoming chief of staff, Rahm Emanuel, was pushing for Obama's successor just days after the Nov. 4 election, sources told the Chicago Sun-Times.Rahm also has reportedly had at least 21 conversations with Hot Rod about the Senate seat, and they're on tape.Emanuel privately urged Gov. Blagojevich's administration to appoint Obama confidante Valerie Jarrett, and the Sun-Times learned Tuesday that he also pressed that it be done by a certain deadline.
[...]
Emanuel's discussions do not indicate he was involved in dealmaking with the governor. However, his deeper involvement creates a sticky political situation for Obama.
Yeah - they had NO IDEA what was going on. The-babe-in the-woods-routine.
So, brave reporters, your question now becomes- WHAT DID OBAMA KNOW AND WHEN DID HE KNOW IT? HOW ABOUT RAHM? Get to work, my little media darlings. Why don't you airdrop a few hundred reporters into Chicago to get to the bottom of this like you did in Wasilla? Whatsa matter? Afraid of exhibiting the audacity of hope asking a few tough follow-up questions after Obama tries to cut you off?
Transparency. Honesty. Integrity. Openness. Corruption-free. Change.
