Aussies Loosen Gun Laws, Citizens on Buying Spree

(New South Wales, Australia) The NSW government has implemented changes in law which allow wider ownership of gun licenses. As a result, gun dealers are seeing a flood of sales.

Specific changes in gun law include the removal of a waiting period for purchase of a weapon and the restoration of the ability of people previously subject to apprehended violence orders (AVOs) to have the orders revoked so they can legally own guns.

Gun control activists have complained but, so far, not loudly. (more)
