Muslim Kills Jew in Yemen, 100,000 Civilians Deliberately Starved
The murderer previously killed his wife, but he paid blood money and never went to jail. I wonder whose life is cheaper in Yemen, a woman or a Jew? A woman's blood money is half a man's. Anyway the story today is one of the 400 remaining Jews in Yemen was murdered in cold blood. He has eight kids. The murder was entirely arbitrary, except for the fact that the man was targeted for his religion. One thing to remember is the government's media encourages the religious fanatic mentality, and extremist organizations receive a lot of overt and covert support from the government.
INN: The murderer fired on Nahari several times, made sure he was dead, and then waited for police to come. Ash-Sharq il-Awsat identified the killer as Abed el-Abdi, a former pilot. El-Abdi murdered his wife two years ago, but was not imprisoned because he agreed to give his wife's family financial compensation. Yemeni officials said the shooter who killed Nahari was deranged. The shooter was arrested, and allegedly told police he had killed Nahari because “Those Jews need to become Muslim."
In related news of targeting by religious identity, the Yemeni government is engaged in collective punishment of its civilian population in the war torn Sa'ada region. The military has withheld shipments of food and medicine and is thwarting attempts by international aid organizations to reach the 100,000 people displaced by the war. Winter is coming and starvation rates are extremely high among the children and young mothers who make up the bulk of the displaced population. Islamist trained tribal paramilitaries targeted the predominantly Zaidi Shiite region, along with tanks, artillery and bombardment on and off since 2004 when a small band of rebels began shouting slogans.
