H-S Precision Rifles Receives the Coveted Lon Horiuchi Endorsement
Seems to me that the first rule of marketing would be "Know your customers."
If the folks at H-S Precision Rifles really knew their customers (gun owners and law enforcement officers,) they'd have realized that taking out a full-page advertisement featuring an endorsement from Ruby Ridge sniper Lon Horiuchi would be a massively stupid thing to do. It might, in gunspeak, be referred to as a "doublepluszumbo."
In the words of Remington spokesman Tommy Millner, "Doing this violates pure business common sense." Millner reports that Remington has removed all references to H-S Precision fom the Remington website.
Kudos to Remington for acting swiftly. Makes me feel like going out and buying some Remington stuff.
I'd certainly like to see H-S Precision's other clients follow suit.
I was actually considering buying an H-S Precision stock for my Remington 700, but now I think I'll be going with McMillan instead.
