Pirates Attack U.S. Cruise Ship
Somali pirates attacked a U.S. cruise ship today, fired at it with small arms, but the cruise ship outran the pirates' speed boats. No one was injured.
It's no coincidence that the rise in piracy off of Somalia's coast coincides precisely with gains by al Qaeda's Somalian affiliate, the al Shabaab Mujahideen Youth Movement, over territory.
