MSNBC Anchor: Obama's Election Didn't End Terrorism...WTF?

Good find by the NewsBusters team, via Ace.

This was obvious to anyone who has not had their faces firmly implanted between Obama's buttcheeks while taking deeeeeeep whiffs of the noxious HOPE-CHANGE gas cloud it has been emitting for the better part of two years now.

But to the MSNBC reporterette who can't seem to figure out just what all that like OMG totally stupid fighting between India and Pakistan is all about, it is a mystery that could never be solved.

Didn't they watch Obama's speech on (fill in the blank)? How could Islamic terrorists continue to kill after hearing the Savior's light-working words? WHY IS THIS HAPPENING????

ALEX WITT (MSNBC): You know, John, and it’s interesting (ed. - no, it really isn't, you moron) because there are many who had such an optimstic and hopeful opinion of things, and you certainly can’t expect things to change [snaps fingers] on a dime overnight, but there are many who suggested that with the outgoing Bush administration and the incoming Obama administration there would be something of a lull in terrorism attacks. There had been such a global outpouring of affection, respect, hope, with the new administration coming in, that precisely these kinds of attacks, it was thought — at least hoped — would be dampered down. But in this case it looks like Barack Obama is getting a preview of things to come.

Yes, little Alex. The mere rhetoric of a Chicago politician and the "hope" of socialists in Europe is not, in fact, in itself enough to end a scourge on humanity that has been in existence in one form or another for thousands of years. People's "opinions" are not in themselves enough to fight terrorism. You did it. You won the battle with the rational part of your mind. The last horse finally crosses the finish line.

Bravo.
