Al Qaeda in Somalia Leaders Designated Terrorists by U.S.
Yesterday the U.S. Treasury Department designated three members of al Qaeda's Somalia affiliate as foreign terrorists. The three named are: Ahmed Abdi Aw Mohammed, Issa Osman Issa, & Mukhtar Robow. The designation means that any assets these individuals hold under U.S. jurisdiction are frozen and U.S. persons are prohibited from engaging in any transactions with the designees. Those doing business with these individuals or with the al Shabaab organization may be severely fined under U.S. law.
Not that any of you are doing business with these people, but Washington based Dotster should consider themselves warned. Again.
Nick Grace has much more background over at Long War Journal.
