(Update)Obama To Vote "Absent" "Unofficial" At G20 Summit

Scroll down for update.

Obama has graciously said "it is President Bush's summit meeting".

Maybe he is afraid he can't answer questions asked of him by the summit attendees?

Sydney Morning Herald

WORLD leaders hoping for time with the US president-elect, Barack Obama, during this weekend's G20 will be disappointed after aides announced he would not attend the summit nor have one-on-one meetings with any of the 19 leaders who will be in town.

"He will not be having any meetings with any of the leaders who are coming in Washington, Chicago or any other place," the co-chairman of Senator Obama's transitional campaign, John Podesta, said. Instead, it seems the Obama transition team has decided to treat the G20 as "the President's meeting".

The article went on to state:
There is logic to Senator Obama's method: the president-elect has only just begun security and foreign affairs briefings, which would make it difficult for him to respond in an informed way on many issues.

Thank you Obamabots for electing this "person".

Update: According to Reuters

Obama has tapped former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright and a former Republican congressman to meet foreign delegations at the global financial summit in Washington this weekend.

Obama and Vice President-elect Joe Biden said in a statement on Wednesday that Albright and former Republican Rep. Jim Leach would be available for unofficial meetings with foreign delegations.

For some reason I have images in my head of Albright dancing with Kim Jong-il.
