What to Buy?

Having watched the election coverage until the deed was done I woke up groggy and wondering what liberties I will start to lose in the coming months. As a gun owner, I instantly know that if I would like a firearm I better go ahead and get it now; same thing with ammunition.

There literally is nothing holding the newly elected left wing majority in Washington DC from passing some of the most archaic bans on LEGAL weapons sales. To keep a free state the people must have the right to keep and bear arms. But, the left knows you have nothing to fear from them. Just take what you are given (which will likely come at the expense of someone else) and there will not be anything to worry about. Anyone read George Orwell's 1984? Those people could not defend themselves against their tyrannical, socialist government. They lived in constant fear and with little more than their basic needs being met.

I went to two local gun shops this afternoon to peruse what my wish list might look like when I came to the great realization that I need to save my money and not spend it on guns. Why? Because the price of everything is about to go up. Folks, companies and corporations do not pay taxes, consumers do. Those tax hikes that are going to pay for the increase in entitlement spending are going to all fall on one collective group, consumers. Not the upper-middle or upper class, not the super rich, and certainly not anyone with a decent tax attorney but ALL consumers will be forced to pay ALL corporate taxes, period. That means the cost of food, gas, electricity, paper, ink, and everything that man once considered a luxury two hundred years ago is going to cost more (and I can't imagine what today's luxury items are going to cost).

So what did I buy? Nothing.
