Iran Minister Faces Impeachment

Interior Minister Ali Kordan had a fake degree from Oxford University. He is crying fowl because he didn't know it was bogus. Sure he didn't.

Interior Minister Ali Kordan will face Parliament on 4 November.

Both conservatives and moderates MPs have called on Mr Kordan to resign or be dismissed from the cabinet.

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said the impeachment was illegal as Mr Kordan committed no wrongdoing while in office, the Irna news agency reported.

"We do consider the parliament to be our ally, but we do not approve any impeachment," Mr Ahmadinejad was quoted as saying and went on to accuse opponents of being behind the calls for impeachment.
