Al-Qaeda man feared hiding in Tanzania
Word out of Tanzania today that security forces are on high alert after reports Al Qaeda leader Fazul Abdallah Mohamed has entered the country.
The Director of Criminal Investigation (DCI), Commissioner of Police Robert Manumba, would not rule out the possibility that the top Al Qaeda man could be hiding in the country.’’It’s true that we were alerted by our colleagues that the suspect may try to hide in Tanzania after escaping arrest in Kenya. We’re still not certain about his present whereabouts but remain vigilant,’’ said Manumba.
Fazul is the mastermind of the 1998 US Embassy bombings that killed 224 people. Getting him would be a major catch in the WOT.
