Choudary Claims MI5 Tried to Assassinate Omar Bakri Muhammad

It looks like Anjem Choudary has seen way too many movies, forgot to take his lithium, or is just a little depressed that he's been out of the headlines for too long so he's reduced to just making wild claims.

In the following press release posted at his website he goes on and on about soooper top-sikret electronic devices used to monitor Omar Bakri Mohammed. He also claims MI5 left a remote controlled bomb meant to kill Bakri Mohammed who has been banned from returning to the UK and now lives in exile in Lebanon.

At the end of the press release you'll notice that Choudary includes a cryptic warning to the British government that that attempt on Bakri Mohammad's life might constitute a breach in the "covenant of security" with Muslims. This is a reference which would only be understandable to those steeped in Islamic tradition and law and is a reference to the notion that Muslims are a separate nation that has a sort of treaty with the kuffar--the unbelievers. The results of any breach of the 'security covenant' by the British would be open war.

A subtle threat? Actually, a not so subtle threat, but a paper tiger nonetheless since Choudary and other of Bakri Mohammad's followers have claimed that the British already have broken said 'security covenant' over and over again. The presumable consequences of which would be an open declaration of war by the group which has never come to pass.

Choudary is the man who organized the infamous rally to protest the Mohammed cartoons where signs were carried saying, "Behead Those Who Insult Islam". He also organized the rally against the Pope. You know the one. It's the rally where placards reading, "May Allah Curse the Pope" and "Jesus Will Raise the Sword of Islam" were waved.

If that wasn't enough to get a feel for the inner-workings of Choudary, then ponder this: Two groups put together by Choudary and Bakri Muhammad have been banned in the UK as terrorist organizations; he helped organize a conference on the "Magnificent 19" praising the 9/11 hijackers; the BBC has him on record claiming that Muslims aren't allowed to kill innocents...but only Muslims qualify as innocent.

And Bakri Mohammad is to Anjem Choudary as a Sith is to his apprentice.

The thing about the claim that MI5 is trying to kill Omar Bakri Mohammad is that its equal parts bizarre and equal parts mega-downer inasmuch that it's probably not true.

If MI5 really wanted to kill Bakri Mohammad, he'd be dead.

I'm not sure if we'll ever get serious about instigators of terror like Bakri Mohammad. Cowards who encourage others to donate money and the blood of their sons to the 'mujahideen', but who always absolve themselves from the very actions they claim are required of other Muslims.

But we should. And when we do? Watch out.

A sinister plot by the British special branch and MI5 against Sheikh Omar Bakri Mohammad has been uncovered.

Electronic devices designed to monitor the movements of Sheikh Omar, including a remote controlled explosive device capable of being detonated at a distance and weighing 1.5kg, were recently discovered.

Further information has exposed the underhand tactics of the British regime whose officers violated the sanctity of Sheikh Omar Bakri Mohammad’s Lebanese apartment in Beirut-Doha by entering his flat without his permission. Using their own freshly made key, the intruders installed audio and visual surveillance devices in the Sheikh’s home, not to mention blatantly stealing personal and confidential documents, including his passport.

Some details of this sinister plot have been verified such as that the British officers were sent by the British government via the British embassy and that they had rented an apartment above Sheikh Omar’s apartment for surveillance purposes. The Sheikh declined to comment on whether his source gave specific personal details of the British agents.

Sheikh Omar Bakri Mohammad is a prominent scholar in the Muslim world today for his uncompromising stance on the vital issues which affect the Muslim world. He is recognized as one of the leading figures struggling against the British crusade against Islam and Muslims. The attack against Sheikh Omar and those who struggle against manmade laws and struggle to liberate Muslim land, calling for the establishment of the Shari’ah is inherent in British government policy. This has manifested itself in the British government’s hand in the destruction of the Khilafah in 1924, the illegal occupation of Muslim land as in Afghanistan and Iraq, the giving away of Muslim land such as Palestine and Kashmir, the support of tyrant regimes in Muslim countries, the imprisonment of innocent Muslims and the introduction of many draconian laws targeted at Muslims.

Historically the British policy to target sincere scholars in India, Malta etc. has been well documented, today they are intentionally targeting activists like Sheikh Omar Bakri Mohammad who always called for Muslims to propagate Islam and to observe the covenant of security where the life and wealth of the non-muslims is secure in return for the life and wealth of Muslims being secure. This raises the important question as to whether the British government wishes to remain in a covenant of security with Muslims.

Allah (SWT) says in the Qur’an:
