Attention All Kossacks : Please Keep Up Your Vital Work

SUBJECT: Sarah Palin

When John McCain first launched Gov. Sarah Palin on the national stage, no one really knew whether working mothers would identify with her, but I'm happy to report that your relentless attacks on Sarah Palin have made sure that things have been going in the right direction.

Looking back on it, it was probably inevitable that an army of young, intolerant urban white male secularists with little experience with women (i.e., Kossacks) would pounce on a 40-something, openly Christian, rural working mother of five like a pack of hungry dogs on raw meat.

Nonetheless, even I was impressed with the speed, energy and sheer ruthlessness with which you guys have pulled it together and kept it going. Excellent work!

Your relentless attacks on her looks, your denounciations of her as a "token," a "lightweight" and generally not up to the job, your attacks on her for being a career woman and a mother at the same time, your attacks on her rural background, your attacks on her family and your attacks on her Christian faith are likely to go a long way toward shaping public opinion on Gov. Palin--particularly within key battleground states like Pennsylvania (aka "land of the bitter, backwoods, gun-clinging Bible-thumpers").

Now, you may be hearing some voices telling you to scale back your testosterone-driven full frontal assault on this "fundie Christianist redneck breeder gun nut psycho killer bitch," or whatever the latest term is. Don't listen to the voices of dissonance, fellas! Barack has to say that BS to stay "above the fray," but you know he's smiling on the inside.

Keep it up. Keep cranking. Never let up. We have an election to win, boys, and I suspect you have no idea how much your vital work is helping the cause.
