Alex Jones is not just any 9-11 Twoofer. He's the ostensive leader of a loose-knit cult of conspiracy whackaloons that do things like holding 9-11 Twoof rallies at Ground Zero, or forming regular "confrontations" with those in the media and other visible public figures (politicians, people who debunk conspiracy theories, etc.). It is somewhat inaccurate to characterize him as a leftwinger. He's an equal opportunity nutburger and has as much in common with Pat Buchannan and Ron Paul as he does with O!bama - he promulgates 9-11 conspiracy theories, anti-immigrant sentiments (he believes there is a North American Union being formed), is anti-war, is anti-"Zionism," is anti-corporate culture, etc. Covers all bases, so he's difficult to pigeonhole politically (although he supported Ron Paul).
Jones and company are NOT by default O!bots. They're Ron Paulbots - that is, they have a very interesting, nuanced idea of what the GOP actually is (as does Ron Paul), and believe that the Democrats are just a bunch of weak-minded New-World-Order/One-World-Government shills who are the other side of the same coin.
