Taliban Deny Zawahiri Dead
Nothing at the Afghani Taliban's official website, but Reuters managed to score this interview with a Pakistani Taliban spokesman who not only denies the report that al Qaeda's #2 Ayman al-Zawahiri was dead, but also feels the need to rub our noses in it:
Zawahri has been killed by them several times. But once again this claim is wrong. This is baseless," Maulvi Omar told Reuters by telephone from an undisclosed locationEnjoy your moment Maulvi Omar. I have a feeling you have few moments left in your short life.
Roggio has a good roundup on this and he's been warning me from the beginning not to put too much stock in it.
When Z man does finally die, global warming will probably be to blame.
