Canadian Model Found Dead in Shanghai
(Shanghai, China) A 22-year-old model from British Columbia, Diana Gabrielle O'Brien, was found dead in Shanghai on Sunday.
Based upon current information, it's not clear whether she was murdered or otherwise died. The story is all over the Canadian media but hasn't been mentioned by the Chinese press -- so far.
Reports indicate that O'Brien had a three-month contract for modeling, however, she was forced to dance in bars and promote the sale of whiskey. She expressed unhappiness to her roommate and said she wanted to return to Canada.
Canadian Foreign Affairs officials are pursuing information. Shanghai Police are investigating. An autopsy is scheduled.
