Teacher Fired for Nudity, Students Revolt
(Sydney, Australia) A 24-year-old primary school teacher at Naraweena Public School, Lynne Tziolas (pics), was fired from her position last week for appearing nude with her husband Antonios in a magazine article titled "Buck Naked Couples Talk About Their Sex Lives."
The article ran interviews with 10 couples about "what they get up to between the sheets" and asked Ms Tziolas and her husband, Antonios, how many times they have sex a week, their favourite body part and the most risque sexual thing they've done.For the shoot, they received $200 and they said they would do it again despite the fact that she was fired."Leaving the blinds up and the lights on, which is all the time," Antonios said in response to the last question.
In any event, the firing of Mrs. Tziolas prompted her students and their parents to launch petition drives to get her reinstated. The issue is now being considered by the Department of Education.
It's unknown why Mr. Tziolas, also a teacher, wasn't fired. Could it be that racy photo spreads of men are less offensive to school system officials?
