Good News: Another "Innocent" Gitmo Detainee Becomes "Martyr" in Iraq

It's a few days old, but I wasn't around to comment on it. At his Administrative Review Board hearing Abdullah Saleh al-Ajmi claimed that he had gone to Pakistan to study Islam, had never been to Afghanistan, had no contacts with the Taliban, and had not participated in any acts of terror. The same line given by virtually every Guantanamo detainee held up by the Left as an innocent victim of the Bush-Hitler regime.

Many of these former detainees are now the protagonists in documentary after documentary. The rest are dead or missing after rejoining the jihad they claim they were never part of in the first place.

I'd say that we are beginning to see a pattern here, but that would be misleading. This pattern has been clear for a long time now.

A Kuwaiti man released from the U.S. prison in Guantanamo Bay in 2005 has carried out a suicide bombing in Iraq, his cousin told Al Arabiya television on Thursday.

A friend of Abdullah Saleh al-Ajmi in Iraq informed his family that Abdullah carried out the attack in Mosul, his cousin Salem told the Dubai-based television channel.

"We were shocked by the painful news we received this afternoon ... through a call from one of the friend's of martyr Abdullah in Iraq," said Salem al-Ajmi in a telephone interview aired by Arabiya.

Above is his picture that I found posted by the jihadis along with a recording of his voice and some tunes praising the martyr. Below is his "martyr's video" as posted on, where else? YouTube by a guy using Osama bin Laden as his avatar and lists al Qaeda's forum as his personal website.

The very first white print on black background just reads "There is no god except Allah".

Then the customary Muslim opening "In the name of Allah the beneficient...."

Then it says "Your brother Osama Asad presents for you" [By the way Asad means lion.

When the lion's eyes appear and you start hearing the rant, the following three names (more than likely pseudonyms) appear on the screen:

"Asad Qowantanamo" [The second word is the Arabic mispronunciation of Guantanmo]

"Abu Saleh al-Mohajer [al-Mohajer means the emigre or expat. I guess this guy lives in the west]

"Abdullah ben Saleh al-Ajami" [al-Ajami means outsider, and usually refers to Iranians. I'm guessing this guy is an Iranian by the name "Abdullah Saleh"]

Then the last yellow scribbling says something like "With best wishes for you in the hereafter".

And goes on to say that the video was prepared for "The Islamic Ikhlas Network". And the last sentence asks their deity Allah to accept their "Martyr".
