Interview With a Former Slave in Sudan

An interview of Sudanese ex-slave Simon Deng, conducted by Jonathan Gelbart. In the interview Deng recounts his enslavement at the age of 9, escape from slavery, and how the world ignores the widespread problem of slavery in the Muslim world.

The Islasmist Sudanese government's sponsorship of jihad against Christians & animists is directly linked to genocide and slavery in Southern Sudan. Enslaving non-Muslim children has long been viewed as a legitimate means of spreading Islam and Arab culture to conquered territories such as those belonging to Deng's tribe, the Shiluk.
