Obama Fundraiser Host : America is "Monster"
When Illinois State Senator Alice Palmer decided to retire in 1995, she hand-picked local left-winger Barack Obama as her successor. In order to introduce Obama to influential liberals in the district, she held a function at the home of Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn. This was, really, the beginning of Obama's political career, and it linked him forever with Ayers and Dohrn, with whom, as his campaign has acknowledged, he continues to have a friendly relationship.Obama has said that what Ayers and Dohrn said long ago is hardly relevant to today. But look at what Dohrn said in 2007 at a SDS reunion in 2007 in reference to a quote
The greatest Purveyor of violence on this earth is my own country... ....I think that's still true today(2007)... ... we have a special extraordinary responsibility, not necessarily the most enviable one, of how to act here inside the heart of the monster.John adds
There is a certain consistency of perspective among Obama's friends and mentors, which can be summed up in Jeremiah Wright's memorable phrase: "God damn America."Also of note is that while Bernadine Dohrn describes her own country as a monster she once said the following about Charles Manson, you know they guy with a swastika engraved in his forehead.

UPDATE II: Friend-of-Barack -who-isn't-really-friend- since-it-became-widely-known- that-she-belonged-to- a-terrorist-organization- but-wasn't-a-big-deal- as-recently-as-last-year- so-stop-talking-about- his-association-with- terrorists-and-start-talking-about- the-real-issues- like-hope-and-or-change was on crime spree in to the 1980s.
