Afghan & US Led NATO Troops Kill Dozens of Taliban Fighters, Taliban Commander
The Defence Ministry had said in a statement the commander of the group Mullah Mohammed Hashim had been killed. Will give this the 24 hr rule.
Mullah Hashim is one of the "FM" mullahs using illegal radio stations in Pakistan to radicalize muslims. In a earlier post I mentioned "Radio Mullah" a pro-Taliban cleric whose FM radio station along with 2 others had been shut down. Radio Mullah is on the run. heh
The following was updated by Reuters to state US coalition spokesman said this happened on Friday and it was not two battles but one. They failed to mention the dead Taliban commander Mullah Hashim in the update so again will wait for confirmation.

Afghan and NATO-led forces killed or wounded scores of Taliban insurgents in a joint air and ground operation in southern Afghanistan, the Afghan Defence Ministry said on Sunday.The ministry did not give an exact number of militants killed in the latest clash near the town of Deh Rawood in the province of Uruzgan on Saturday, but Afghan security sources said nearly 50 Taliban fighters had died.
"The bodies of the militants are on the grounds and Mullah Hashim, a well-known commander of the group, was among those killed," the Defence Ministry said in a statement.
Must suck to be the Taliban.
