Obama Wants "Reasonable" Gun Laws
MILWAUKEE - Barack Obama says the country must do "whatever it takes" to eradicate gun violence but believes in the right to bear arms....So what does he mean by commonsense regulations? Let's check Obama's home state of Illinois to get an idea....But he says it's subject to commonsense regulations like background checks.

In other words you may own a gun, you just aren't allowed to defend yourself with it. Except on private property when no local restrictions prevent you from doing so. Even if say, you are a security guard at the state capital!
