Another Conviction in Jihadi Plot to Behead Brit Vet

That makes 5 convicted in this particular plot. Rantburg:

A jury convicted a fifth man in the case of a plot to kidnap and kill a British Muslim soldier and supply terrorists in Pakistan with equipment.

Zahoor Iqbal, 30, of Elmbridge Road, Perry Barr, Birmingham, was found guilty at Leicester Crown Court of one count of helping fanatic Parvis Khan to supply equipment to people in Pakistan, near the Afghanistan border, for terrorist activities.

The jury is still out on another count related to the plot in which the group of home-grown jihadis were planning to kidnap and then film the beheading of a Muslim veteran of the Iraq war. The beheading video would then be released on the internet as a warning to British Muslims not to join the military or else a similar fate would await them.

Before we celebrate, remember that this is Britain. My money is on no more than 3 years behind bars for this vile plot.
