U.S. Airforce Academy...No Former Terrorist Speakers Allowed..Without C.A.I.R. Input

International Herald Tribune
Denver:

"A Muslim advocacy group is decrying the U.S. Air Force Academy's decision to invite three "self-described" former terrorists who the group say slam Islam with "hate-filled" rhetoric."

Apparently C.A.I.R. doesn't like Walid Shoebat because he has said that "Islam is the Devil." Mr Shoebat, being a former terrorist, one would think he would have "first hand" information on this subject.

Others speaking at the 50th Annual Academy Assembly in Colorado Springs four-day event "Dismantling Terrorism" are Kamal Saleem and Zachariah Anani.

"C.A.I.R. spokeman Ibrahim Hooper offered to connect the Air force with Muslims in Colorado who could "balance" the discussion."

Maj Brett Ashworth, an Air force Academy spokesman, disagrees and defended their decision in choice of speakers telling C.A.I.R. that the event wasn't about religion when questioned.

Maj Brett Ashworth has said the event was to "educate future officers and delegates from 50 colleges on the ideology and methodology of terrorists."

Maybe Ibrahim Hooper could contribute.....ummm never mind.
