The Daniel Pearl Standard by Judea Pearl

Judea Pearls commentary in WSJ is an excellent article and deserves for all of it to be read! God Bless him.

The following are some paragraphs taken from article, and again please read it all. His death has touched and haunted untold number of decent human beings. It showed the horror and evil of our enemy.

"This week marks the sixth anniversary of the murder of my son Daniel Pearl a reporter for this newspaper. It is a fitting occasion to step back and reflect on what the tragedy has taught us."

"The shocking element in Danny's murder was that he was killed, not for what he wrote or planned to write, but for what he represented--America, modernity, openness, pluralism, curiosity, dialogue, fairness, objectivity, freedom of inquiry, truth and respect for all people. In short, each and every one of us was targeted in Karachi in January of 2002

Judea Pearl goes on to speak about how MSM has used propaganda of terrorist organizations and reported as truth.
"Journalists today are pressured to serve the ideologies of those who pay their salaries or those who supply them with sources of information. CNN's admission, in 2003, that concealed information about the Iraqi regime in order to keep its office in Baghdad is a perfect example of this pressure. In the recent Gaza chaos, Western news agencies have willingly reported Hamas propaganda stunts as truth."
