Fun With Trolls
I haven't fisked in ages. Thanks to one of our newer trolls, "salvage," the time has come.
But China, they're still cool right?
No.
Why is that? As bad as Cuba is (and it is) it's never invaded a neighbor or threaten a nearby Democratic nation with invasion.
Someone's never heard of Grenada.
It seems as long as oppressive communist dictatorships are far away from America and provide cheap goods for Wal-Mart they're tolerable.
Free market capitalism de-stabilizes Communist regimes. See: Soviet Union. And it's not our fault they're backsliding. We don't control the fact that they elected an ex-KGB agent as their leader.
And of course America had no problem doing business with Cuba when it was a different flavor of dictator running the island.
Nations don't have allies, they have interests. And that different flavor of dictator didn't invite the Soviet Union in to place nuclear weapons. See: Cuban Missile Crisis. Now, you answer something. Was Cuba more free, or less free, under Batista?
Do you ever think about these things?
