Official Taliban Websites Hosted in US (UPDATE: Jawas Pwn 32 Taliban Websites!)
Update 01/24/08 11:00 AM CST. Another site down! Still more work to do. See just before the jump for info.
UPDATE 1/22/2008 10:21 AM: Nearly all websites down! Thanks to every one for taking the time to complain. That's 32 websites pwned in this round alone! By my count that's well over 50 Taliban websites we've taken down. Just two more left.
Why do we do it? Patriotism. No really.
That, and the fact that Rusty thinks its cool that the inner circle of the Taliban knows his name. And wants him dead.
But mostly the patriotism. Not true patriotism as defined by the Left, mind you. You know, dissent. The kind of dissent where the patriot wants his country to lose in a war.
Our kind of patriotism is defined as love of country. Second rate patriotism, maybe. Orwellian, maybe. But it's the only kind of patriotism we know.
So, thanks second-rate patriots and scoundrels hiding behind flags who actually love their country and want it to kick Taliban ass!
Just two more websites to go!
Several official websites belonging to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, the group better known as theTaliban, are back up once again and operating on US soil. The websites are named the "Voice of Jihad".
Again the Taliban webmaster, Adil Watanmal (aka Murchal), has opted to use a Yahoo! Geocities (California) and Freewebtown (Georgia) accounts. All those millions from heroin sales and you can't afford to pay for a website Adil?
The websites include contact e-mails for the Taliban as well as working phone numbers for Taliban spokesmen Qari Muhammad Yussuf (Ahmadi) & Zabihullah Mujahid, often quoted by the MSM.
Both free webhosting companies have been very responsive to complaints in the past. I'm sure once they are notified the sites will come down. But, as always, the number of complaints seems directly correlated to how quickly the websites come down.
Again, these are the OFFICIAL websites for the Taliban. Need I remind you readers that we are at war with the Taliban? Yes, it's a little like whack-a-mole, but the alternative is to cede cyberspace--which all agree is part of the overall battle space--to our enemies.
Providing business services, even free ones, to the Taliban violates the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA). Each IEEPA violation of carries a fine of up to $250,000.
You can help by e-mailing the webhosts below, and reminding them of those little facts. Make sure to copy and paste all of the offending websites into the message.
Jawas are persistant and I think we can finish this job. Some sites remain online. I've got a new email for one of them. The others are all Yahoo's geocities and you just have to be persistant.
