Fred Thompson Goes After McCain, Huckabee
I can't decide whether or not attacking McCain is ballsy, because the Mav is the closest thing the Republicans have to a media darling, or if it's no big deal because McCain's conservative record is just so darn easy to attack? I mean, hasn't McCain set himself up for this by being "the maverick"?
It's like McCain has been asking "is my ass fat?" for the last decade and nobody has had the balls to say, why yes Rosemary, your ass is fat, now make me a sandwich!

Too late for Fred? I hope not, but I'm personally more worried about another compassionate conservative--Huckabee-- in the Oval Office than the Mav. At least the Mav has that whole POW thing going for him. There's something about a war hero in the White House that is appealing on a gut level.
I'm with the Club for Growth on this one: if forced to choose between a Turd Sandwich, McCain, and a Giant Douche, Huckabee, I'll take the Turd Sandwich.
