Attack Averted at US Embassy in Austria

A Bosnian man with Islamic literature was arrested at the US embassy in Austria after trying to go through metal detectors with hand grenades and nails (for shrapnel). If you've never been to a US embassy abroad, security is actually run by the host country. The Marine contingent is backup in case the initial host country security measures are breeched.

MSNBC:

The man tried to flee after his backpack triggered metal detectors at the embassy entrance. He was arrested nearby and was being questioned.

Officials said the backpack was found to contain two hand grenades, nails and Islamic literature.

You'd think that Bosnians would love Americans since we intervened on their side against the Serbs.

UPDATE: My computer crashed as I was posting this, so here's the rest of what I was going to say.

Remember, another plot against American interests in Austria involving members of the Global Islamic Media Front was recently uncovered. Could the two be related?

Possibly. GIMF is known to have links to jihad in Bosnia. We'll have to wait to see if this guy is a lone jihaid or part of a larger support network.
