Fauxtography Now: Reuters Still Hosting Adnan Hajj Photo (Bumped)
Despite claims that Reuters has removed all of the 920 photos taken by Adnan Hajj, at least one image taken by the Hezbollah propagandist remains at the Reuters website. And it's a doozy.

Seven months later and Reuters still hasn't purged their server of Adnan Hajj's work? But, they have purged their computers of their original admission of guilt, which was here. Oh, and they've left up three self-congratulatory stories in which they claim to have 'tightened the rules' since it was first revealed that they were publishing doctored and staged photos. You see: problem solved.
Thanks to Amos for the legwork on this.
You'll remember we played a wee part in unmasking of Adnan Hajj for the Hezbollah propagandist that he was. We're glad that Reuters eventually fired him, but still don't think Reuters quite gets what all the fuss was about.

The Adnan Hajj photo can be found on Reuters server here. Given the date stamp, given that man in the photo is a Shia, and given that it looks like the blood on the guy is from a self flagellation, I'm guessing the pic was taken during an Ashura celebration. There's no sign of any photo manipulation going on in it, but a promise is a promise Reuters. And you promised to take down all of Hajj's photos.
