Plamegate: FBI Contradicts Russert's Testimony
In a bit of Plamegate news, Tim Russert was grilled on the stand about conversations he "didn't remember" having with the FBI and other reporters.
Except, that there were records (phone, FBIrecords, etc.) of him having those converstaions.
Clarice Feldman (and Tom Maguire) have the latest and greatest coverage of this incident.
Bottom line: Today's developments do not look good...for NBC "journalists" Andrea Mitchell and David Gregory. They (and Russert) may have made false statements (at best, misleading ones), and now the cows are starting to come home. Wouldn't it be the irony of ironies if the media was the lying and obfuscating party here? It appears, from some of the testimony, that they are being less than forthcoming.
Don't expect Keith Overbite to cover these developments.
