(Updated) AQ: Democrats Didn't Win in November - We Did

Update below.
The Democrats can't get away from their unintended allies, can they? They might want to, but they can't.

How many times have we said that Democrat victotry will be seen by Islamic terrorists as a victory for them?

How many times did we tell you that the Democrats were de-facto allies with the terrorists in this conflict because they made the GOP and Bush their enemies rather than AQ?

No matter what we on the right think, the Islamic terrorists who murdered 3,000 Americans on 9-11 saw Bush and the GOP as their biggest obstacle to achieving their ends, and viewed the Democrats as the weak horse in the fight that they needed to beat first. Now we have proof from the terrorists' mouths.

Of course, by "beating" the Democrats, I refer to sapping their will to fight and to win.

Given the ignoratti permeating the media in this and other countries, the nagging influence of the aging 60's Vietnam-syndrome addled retreads, and the legions of belligerently misinformed television commentators, actors, musicians, writers, academics, college students, public school students, etc., it was perhaps to be expected.

And that does not bode well for the future of this extended conflict.

Newsflash, lefties. The WTC was bombed in 1993 - when Democrats controlled Congress and the White House. Their indictments and criminal prosecutions didn't prevent the Islamists from coming back and finishing the job - it emboldened them to do it again.

Now that the Islamists have seen and taken stock of the remarkable lack of a spine shown by the left in our country and around the world to confront them aggressively, they will be back. Those who don't learn from history are doomed to repeat it.

'Peace' at any cost, indeed.

UPDATE: More terrorist expessions of glee at the thought of Democrats winning Congress from the AP earlier this month:

The leader of the Hezb-e-Islami militant group also touted the Republican Party defeat in last month's midterm elections as a victory for militants fighting in Afghanistan and Iraq.

"It seems that every bullet that mujahedeen had fired toward the Americans in Iraq and Afghanistan has turned into a vote against Bush," Hekmatyar said in the undated video statement received by AP Television News in Pakistan.

"There is no doubt that is a great victory and success for Afghan and Iraqi mujahedeen," he said. "I am convinced that the fate Soviet Union faced is awaiting America as well.

As for the frantic leftwing commentors here, there is little room for doubt as to who the jihadis prefer be in control of this country. Even the Kos Kidz agree that Islamic terrorists want Democrats in charge, although they are more concerned that the press is focusing (rightly) on the "Democrats and terrorists are on the same side" perception. Unfortunately for them, that is the story. When a political party in America wins an election and it causes an outpouring of glee and satisfaction from Islamic terror groups all over the world (including the group that slaughtered 3000 people in Manhattan, DC and PA), that is big news. In addition, it is perhaps an uncomfortable reality check to Democrats who think GWB is a bigger threat to the US than AQ and Co.

Judging by the Kosbot reaction and the leftwingnut commentors here, that realization appears to be gnawing at them and hitting home. Then again, maybe not. Join the fray!
