Islamic Values Or American Values Debate In Minneapolis-St. Paul

I hadn't heard of this before but it seems that a debate is raging in Minneapolis-St. Paul between Somali taxi drivers over whether or not to pick up a passenger that has alcohol. Some drivers will pick up the patron whereas others will not. Behind the controversy is a fatwa issued by the Muslim American Society, Minnesota chapter:

But the dispute may go deeper than the quandary over whether to accommodate Somali Muslim cabdrivers who refuse to carry passengers carrying alcohol.
