Tyler Stanger and Cory Lidle

Yesterday's plane crash in New York City has saddened many people. Two remarkable lives were lost.

Tyler Stanger, 26, led a life of substance, purpose and responsibility. In addition to being a devoted husband, a doting family man and a successful businessman, Tyler was a former Eagle Scout and strong supporter of scouting. Tyler leaves a wife and two-year-old daughter.

Cory Lidle, 34, is best described as focused, perseverant and accomplished. Cory too was a devoted husband and family man and he succeeded in the world of every boy's dream, as a major league baseball player. Cory leaves a wife and six-year-old son.

Both men can be characterized as "All American" solid citizens. Both will be missed. Both will be remembered.

Condolences to the families and friends of Tyler Stanger and Cory Lidle.

More personally, Tyler Stanger was a friend of a long time supporter of The Jawa Report, who wishes to remain anonymous. But his friend has heard from the family that their only solace in this tragic loss is that Tyler died doing what he loved best.
