Iraqis Long for the Days of U.S. Torture at Abu Ghraib
When I first saw images of torture coming out of Abu Ghraib it made me think of my big brother. If this is torture, I thought, then my big brother was guilty of numerous Geneva Convention violations growing up!
Of course, we later learned that there was real torture at Abu Ghraib, and not just an ugly chick is pointing at my pee-pee 'torture'. But these proved to be the exception to the rule and many have now been prosecuted for these crimes.
But, it seems, even at our worst, the Iraqis long for the good old days of naked human pyramid stacking, fake electric shocks, dog-scaring, purple nurples, titty twisters, and various other evil and nefarious American practices.
Telegraph:
The notorious Abu Ghraib prison in Baghdad is at the centre of fresh abuse allegations just a week after it was handed over to Iraqi authorities, with claims that inmates are being tortured by their new captors....Which reminds me of a scene from The Holy Grail:"The Americans were better than the Iraqis. They treated us better," said Khalid Alaani, who was held on suspicion of involvement in Sunni terrorism....
The witness said that even in the thieves' section prisoners were being treated badly. "Someone was shouting 'Please help us, we want the human rights officers, we want the Americans to come back'," he said.
Help, I'm being oppressed!
