Traderrob Indian Blog Star
Opinipundit (www.exposingtheleft.blogspot.com) may now be one of the most read American blogs in India. Thanks to this weeks ban on some blog sites including this one. Jawa Report Co-Blogger Traderrob has made the WSJ . The story was ran in many major newspapers in India and today he is interviewed by the The San Jose Mercury News. Talk about an overnight sensation!
Mercury News:The editor of OpiniPundit (http://exposingtheleft. blogspot.com) another banned site, said his only mention of India was a tongue-in-cheek comment about the Mumbai bombings. He supported and blogged about Bush's nuclear deal with India, but now says his perception of India has changed.Traderrob can I have your autograph? Don’t miss all his posts on this subject here and here and here too . Also see Rusty’s post on the banning of The Jawa Report here. One thing I find very neat is all the people from India commenting on his blog. Now that’s the spirit of what blogging is all about. Looks like Traderrob has very late night or very early morning so I’ll pimp his blog a bit while he recovers from the sudden rush of fame.``From what you've heard and read, it's the largest democracy in the world and they're a lot like us,'' said the Illinois blogger, who wanted to stay anonymous. ``This can't do any good to their image. Anybody who comes in contact with the story will have a diminished opinion of India after this.''
Internet discussion forums and mailing lists have sprouted to protest the ban. Bloggers are also dispensing online advice to circumvent the ban, using tools employed by Internet surfers in China.
Many speculated the ban was prompted by last week's bombings of Mumbai's train network, which killed more than 200 people.
