Revisionist Pre-History At Hot Air
How many Iraqis will be killed in the next few weeks and months by terrorists eager to make it look like American troops have perpetrated another massacre?
Another massacre? What happened to the first one? Do you realize that you've just acknowledged, without the investigation being completed, without Courts Martial being brought, without convictions being handed down, that what happened in Haditha was a massacre?
I agree with the basic premise, that more Iraqis may die. But they'll die because of the media feeding frenzy surrounding Haditha, not because of any actual facts.
Congratulations man. You just put another round in the enemy's revolver.
Here's an excerpt of Allahpundit's comment on my post:
I stand by both of those statements. I haven't pronounced anyone guilty; I haven't called for the death penalty, as some people -- including some vets -- have. Not sure what it is, precisely, that you're objecting to in the way we've "dealt" with it.
IF you're not pronouncing anyone guilty, then why did you use the phrase "another massacre?"
You quoted a part of my post that you self-triumphatly declared "bullshit," but you didn't bother to read the last sentence, it seems:
"Shut the hell up about Haditha, somewhere Khomeini is smiling."
As an aside, I'll post the comment that my blogfather, and the owner of this site left on that very same post:
Wow, bravo!

Unless or until the incident at Haditha is solved by investigation, charges filed, and convictions handed down, those of us who dearly love our military will keep our mouths shut.
Those who place their traffic and media status above that will continue to make egregious mistakes.
Posted by Vinnie at June 3, 2006 06:30 PM | TrackBackDude, I liked that post that I said "bravo" too because I felt like maybe I was guilty of the same. I know you called Michelle on it, but I was equally guilty--and I think neither of us had bad intentions.
This one, though, seems like your knitpicking for no particular reason--IMHO.
Posted by: Rsuty at June 3, 2006 06:59 PMI wonder if Allah Pundit is actually Michelle Malkin's husband, and rumoured ghostwriter?!?
