Deutscheland Uber Huh?

Dec 27, 2005 — KUWAIT (Reuters) - A Kuwaiti court on Tuesday sentenced to death six suspected militants linked to al Qaeda attacks in the country.

The six were among 37 Islamists charged with links to militants in neighboring Iraq and Saudi Arabia. Police said some had confessed to planning suicide attacks against U.S. military and Western targets in Kuwait.

Kuwait hates Israel in general and Jews in particular, but hasn't sent them to die in gas chambers.

Germany hates Israel in general and Jews in particular, but has.

Advantage Kuwait.

Kuwait is grateful to the U.S. for being liberated from a tyrant.

Germany isn't.

Advantage Kuwait.

Kuwait treats Palestinians as second-class citizens in Kuwait.

Germany treats Palestinians as second-class citizens by supporting them, in "Palestine."

Advantage even.

Kuwait executes terrorists who kill U.S. service members.

Germany releases them after 25 years of a "life" sentence.

Advantage Kuwait.

Trust me, having Kuwait as a staunch ally isn't all that attractive in the grand scheme of things. But, at this juncture in history, I'd take Kuwait.
