Sandra "Beth" Geisel Gets 6 Months
(Albany, New York) Updating a previous report and as anticipated, Christian Brothers Academy teacher, Sandra "Beth" Geisel, accepted a plea deal this morning which gets her six months in jail and ten years probation. She will also have to register as a sex offender and she gets credit for time served since her DWI arrest. By my calculations, that puts her on the street in about four months.
From Capitalnews9.com:
Defense Attorney Donald Kinsella said, "A trial would have been a spectacle for her family. As you can see, you all are invited by the DA's office saying this isn't something you should miss. A trial would have been a total spectacle."It's not clear what happens if she violates her probation which, frankly, I think is likely.District Attorney David Soares said, "This is a person who is going to be subjected to probation for the next 10 years, will have to register as a sex offender, whose life is totally changed now as a result as her behavior. We held her accountable. This is the best disposition in this case."
