Iraqi Prime Minister Ayad Allawi's Relatives Freed
Two of Iraqi Prime Minister Ayad Allawi's three relatives being held hostage have been released. The group Ansar al-Jihad had threatened to behead them if the US led assault on Falujah was not stopped [previous entry here]. Well, we stopped. See this is how you reach peace in a warzone--you win. Two relatives of Iraqi Prime Minister Ayad Allawi, who were kidnapped last week, have been released and a third relative still remains in captivity, said a spokesman for Allawi on Monday.HT: JamesThe two women relatives of the prime minister were released on Sunday, but there was still no word on Allawi's cousin, said the spokesman, without giving further details.
